How does it work?

To purchase cryptocurrency, the user completes the following steps by visiting the generated onramp URL:

  1. Select Details: Confirm the cryptocurrency, fiat currency, and purchase amount (unless it is already defined in the URL).
  2. Log In: Login/Signup using multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  3. Choose Payment Method: Select a preferred payment method.
  4. Complete KYC: If new to MoonPay, complete the KYC process.
  5. Confirm Purchase: Review and confirm the transaction.

Once the transaction is complete, Moonpay sends the cryptocurrency to the user’s wallet for purchases (on-ramp) or transfers the money to their chosen payout method for sales (off-ramp).
